Tuff Soul has a variety of clothing from as early as the 1920's up to the 1980's. We carry an array of finely crafted classic vintage pieces, as well as funky styles that will just take you back.
Recycled Clothing
The time comes for all of us to clean out our closets. As they say, one man's trash is another man treasure. Recycled clothing is more current second-hand clothing, recycled back into the world, through resale. According to the EPA, only between 15-20% of the clothes that Americans through out each year make it to resale shops and thrift stores. The other 80-85% goes directly into landfills. Recycle!
Organic Cotton Clothing
Cotton is the most widely used fiber in the word of clothing. Most cotton products are made from cotton grown using pesticides and herbicides to help the crop grow without interference from Mother Nature. However, these pesticides and herbicides are harmful to the planet and to the people who handle the cotton. The cotton industry uses 20% of the world's pesticides and herbicides for its production. Organic cotton is grown without the use of any of these harmful chemicals, ultimately making it safer for the environment, the manufacturers and you, the customer. We carry an assortment of organic cotton clothing which is all made by companies who produce the clothing in non-sweatshop environments or under fair-trade labor working conditions. Many of the dyes used to treat the cotton are made from vegetables or other natural minerals. Organic cotton is much softer than other cotton, and it is much healthier product to have on your skin.
Reconstructed Clothing
By using old fabric and recycled and vintage clothing, new one-of-a-kind garments are created. It is the transformation of something old into something new. Tuff Soul creates it's very own reconstructed, one-of-a-kind garments right in our store.
